Day 20 of Inktober 2018
Oh, and the rest. All caught up

The colours are in, the gradients have been tested and the results are. In the image above. So over this past week, I’ve been doing a lot of testing with many different colours, gradually narrowing then down to five. You can see the full breakdown above, but fair to say it took a while. And I’m still not done. Over this next week, I’ll be looking into different fonts and icons for my brand. Also, keep reading as I will be discussing my new projects later in this post.
So, you’ll be seeing these colours a lot more as of now and into the future. Speaking of the future, as well as doing all this colour testing I have started work on 2 new projects. Only in the research and planning stage at the moment, but their coming I can promise that. Over the next 10 or so weeks I’ll be developing these new portfolio pieces as well as continuing with my personal branding journey. Anyway, enough of the rambling, here are the two new projects.
Firstly, a weapon prop based off of a very well known gun. The M4 Carbine. Yeah, so? Doesn’t everyone make a weapon prop, what’ s new? Glad you asked. With mine, I’ll be looking to change it up a little, I promise. I’ll be bringing character to the weapon through the use of customisation and animation. Let’s just say it’s a really nice way to portray a weapon model. In my opinion of course.
Second project; a remake of an old game scene. This one’s a little more up in the air at the moment, but if you have any ideas for games I should be looking at be sure to leave a comment below. I have my own ideas obviously, but it would be interesting to see which game the community thinks needs a remake. I’ll be focusing on lighting for this as it is the main thing that sets old games apart from the newer titles. The leap in quality and what has been done with the technology has changed so much.
That’s about it for this week, a bit of a busy one but it’s all moving forward. Be sure to follow this blog and me on my social platforms to see my progress on these 3 projects. Thanks
